"I am an enigma trapped within a fur coat. You may address me as Cat. That’s Cat with a capital C and no preceding article. If you would prefer an adjective in lieu of a noun, try Inscrutable. I define myself as such because, to me, time and space are choices—not limits. Within all space and time, I can go whenever and wherever I choose, merely by wishing it so.”
This description of me may be found at the beginning of Book One, Mythral’s Wish. The rest of the Book fills in some of my de-tales. But it tells you very little of my past. Do I have nine lives? Will I always land on my feet? (I have so far.) I am immaculately groomed at all times and fleas wouldn’t dare think of coming near me. I’ll share one secret with you, the glasses are just for effect. Like many who are a bit different, I sometimes have to look more the part to be taken seriously—like when I lecture on time-travel.
When and where I was born is a mystery to me. This is why I travel through worlds and time looking for clues to my identity. How can I do such travels—at will? Maybe that answer is to be found with my past. Did you notice this connection to Kit? She does not know her parents or her past before her 13th birthday. Did you catch the same connection with Mythral? If not, you were not reading carefully. He, too, does not know his parents. Strange how we three crossed paths. At least you have the chance of learning about Kit and Mythral during my tales: Book One - Mythral’s Wish; Book Two - MorKano’s Wish: and Book Three - Kit’s Wish. Maybe along the way, I’ll learn and share my story.
Before you send me any Cat jokes, via my contact page, keep in mind that Mythral has been throwing such jokes at me for many years. However, anyone who provides a joke suitable for me to include in a future book, will receive a free copy of that book. Quality jokes only—please.
OK. I am digressing from my official bio. I hate to write about myself. There is one more hint to my background. Have you read about ancient Egypt? Back in the times of the pharaohs and pyramids, they worshiped cats. Many deities were portrayed with cat heads. I cannot be certain since time is nonlinear. However, I suspect that some when on my time-path I arrived in ancient Egypt. Clearly they were impressed, and the rest is history—even if I don’t yet know it. (If that does not make sense to you, you haven’t read Book One.)
Just to be clear, the “snarky” adjective was assigned by Mythral. He seems to find my humor a bit different from humans'. Although I don’t see his point, I thought other humans might find his description informative.
